Duskdarter presents a selection of ambient and instrumental compositions from some of their favourite Brisbane artists. Venation begins with a gently fragmenting guitar piece from Andrew Tuttle. Feet Teeth's scattered trumpet and percussion increase the intensity with pulsing commodore 64s on their all engulfing The Scenic Rimmer. After twelve months gathering dust, we get a listen to the first Secret Black track to see the light of day. A Duskdarter supergroup of sorts, featuring Dempefka, Built From Sticks, Endings and Adam Cadell. Kahl Monticone previews a track from his forthcoming Monkey-Flower-Shell release. Built From Sticks revisits the title track from his Half Steps album with additional trumpets parts intact. Dempefka and Endings let us know what they've been chipping away at during the year. Marisa Allen provides us with a live recording from the Musique Sans Frontiers series performed in the Redwoods Forest of New Zealand. skerreks blows our minds with processed bells and leaves us in a trance. Cedie Janson soothes us with warm ambience and gentle beats. Thane of Stone closes the album with the powerful distorted ambience of Restless and Relentless.
